Angela has more than fourteen years of experience teaching English, academic writing and verbal admissions-test preparation to school pupils, university students and adult learners.
Her specialist areas include:
- English Language and English Literature
- Reading comprehension and analytical writing
- IELTS, TOEFL and TOEIC preparation
- SAT and ACT verbal preparation
- GMAT, GRE and Executive Assessment verbal preparation
- Academic writing, essay structure and editing
- University admissions and application support
- English tuition for international and multilingual students
Angela has taught privately, in language schools and online, including work with students in New York, Paris and internationally.
Her editorial background is particularly valuable for students who need to strengthen written expression. She helps learners develop clearer arguments, more precise grammar and stronger structure while preserving their individual voice.
Angela’s lessons are structured around the individual student rather than a fixed programme. She begins by identifying the learner’s current level, objectives and areas of difficulty, then develops a clear plan for progress.
For English and Literature students, lessons may combine close reading, discussion, vocabulary development, written analysis and targeted language work.
For examination candidates, Angela also focuses on timing, question interpretation and test strategy. Her aim is to help students understand why an answer works rather than rely on memorised techniques.
Her background in acting, performance and writing gives her lessons an engaging and communicative quality. She is particularly effective at helping students become more confident speakers and writers.
Angela encourages students to ask questions, test ideas and gradually become more independent in their learning.
