Frequently Asked Questions - A Level Support

Which exam boards do you teach?
We cover AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS and Cambridge International A Levels, tailoring lessons to each board’s mark scheme and command terminology.

When is the ideal time to start tuition?

  • Year 11 summer: subject bridging, wider reading, study-skills.
  • Year 12: weekly tutorials to secure core topics and coursework planning.
  • Year 13 (autumn): intensive past-paper drilling, timed essays, UCAS statement and interview preparation.
Late starters can still succeed with short, intensive booster blocks.

Do you help with UCAS personal statements and interviews?
Yes. Our tutors and consultants can provide support with  personal-statements, mock panel interviews and subject-specific interview practice (including Oxbridge). They can also advise on super-curricular reading and summer-school choices.

Can my child study entirely online?
Absolutely. Interactive whiteboards, screen-sharing and digital resources make online sessions highly effective. For practical subjects (e.g., Physics) our tutors can combine simulations, data booklets and exam-board virtual labs.

Can my child retake A Levels if results fall short?
Yes. Written papers can be retaken in the following May/June session. Our tutors can focus on targeting grade-boundary topics, exam technique and timing.

What about coursework support?
Our tutors can guide students on research, structure and analysis within exam-board guidelines, helping them maximise marks while maintaining academic integrity.

Do you offer homeschooling for A Levels?
We do. We can build a complete homeschooling timetable and track progress to ensure coverage of the full syllabus ahead of exams.
