GCSE & iGCSE Tuition
The GCSE and IGCSE years are a decisive stage, laying the foundations for A-levels, IB and future university choices. With the 9–1 grading system and increasingly rigorous mark schemes, success now demands not only subject knowledge, but disciplined exam technique, organisation and confidence under pressure.
Whether families are based in London, elsewhere in the UK or overseas, our bespoke GCSE programmes are designed to deliver exactly that. We support pupils across all major subjects, including Maths, English Language and Literature, Combined and Triple Science, Humanities and Modern Languages, tailoring each programme to the demands of the individual syllabus and exam board.
By Years 10 and 11, pupils are often balancing up to ten separate courses, multiple exam papers and competing deadlines. Our specialist GCSE tutors provide the right balance of stretch and support: consolidating core knowledge, addressing gaps, and teaching proven revision strategies that build exam stamina and maximise marks.
We work across all exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS and Cambridge IGCSE, guiding families clearly through differing specifications so preparation remains structured, calm and effective. For home-schooled pupils and international families, we design complete study timetables, monitor progress closely and liaise with exam centres to ensure a smooth and well-managed exam journey.

Frequently Asked Questions - GCSE & iGCSE Support
Which exam boards do you cover?
Our tutors support AQA, Edexcel, OCR, EDUQAS and Cambridge IGCSE, tailoring lessons to each board’s specification and mark-scheme language.
When should we start tuition?
While each student is different, we suggest the following approach to boost your child’s learning:
- Year 9 (summer): foundation reading and core-skills consolidation.
- Year 10: weekly tutorials to secure syllabus content and manage coursework timelines.
- Year 11 (autumn): targeted past-paper practice, revision schedules and mock-exam coaching.
Late starters can succeed with an intensive timetable or holiday revision courses.
Can you support pupils overseas?
Yes. Many of our students prepare online from Europe, Asia, the Middle East and North America. Tutors are experienced in international syllabuses, such as IGCSE and CIE and can arrange mocks remotely or in London during school breaks.
How many weekly hours are sensible?
Most pupils thrive on one 60- or 90-minute tutorial per key subject, supplemented by independent revision. In the final eight weeks, this may increase to two sessions per subject plus short daily practice.
Is online tuition as effective as in-person?
For most students, yes. Interactive whiteboards, screen-sharing and adaptive resources keep lessons engaging. We can blend online with in-person sessions during holidays if families prefer.
Can my child resit GCSEs if results fall short?
Yes. English and Maths can be retaken each November, and all other subjects in the following May/June series. Our tutors will focus on narrowing the gap to the next grade boundary, covering high-mark topics, timing strategies and the precise language examiners reward. While families arrange the exam entry with a school or private centre, we can recommend trusted centres and ensure your child is fully prepared to sit the paper with renewed confidence.
Do you handle exam registration for private GCSE candidates?
Absolutely. To remove administrative stress, we also offer a full exam-registration package for private candidates, handling centre bookings, entry codes, deadlines and special-access arrangements on your behalf. A complimentary consultancy call is available to map the best route for your child.
Can you design a full home-school GCSE timetable?
Yes. We create bespoke weekly schedules, deliver live lessons online or in person, set regular assessments and issue progress reports, so home-schooled pupils cover the full GCSE/IGCSE syllabus in good time for exams.
